Me siento politico ultimante con esto de las elecciones. No puedo creer algunos de los candidatos que se lanzan. Los Humala por ejemplo, aunque me parece noble la idea de revitalizar nuestra herencia inca, no creo que renacionalizar companias extrangeras sea una buena estrategia. Ademas que opinan de su historial militar.

El otro dia recibi por email un PPT sobre Alan Garcia, uno de los candidatos a la presidencia del Peru. Nose de donde salieron los datos, pero no hay ir a los numeros para saber durante su gobierno todo se fue a la mierda. El terrorismo aumento, los pobres se hicieron mas pobres y los ricos mas ricos. Es triste saber que despues de un terrible gobierno. Alan piensa lanzarse otra vez. Que tal conciencia. Que mala memoria tenemos.

Que Felicidad me da tenerla en mis brazos. Sus pequenos gritos, su sonrisa dulce y sus grandes ojos hacen mi existencia un paraíso en la tierra.

Esta semana, a Alejandra le esta saliendo su primer diente. Que lindo.. Crecen tan rapido. En un abrir y cerrar de ojos.

My First Father's Day

Yesterday it was my day. Who would think I would ever had a day, How could this happen?
My wife and daugher celebrated me. I got calls from my mom, my brothers and my sister. I guess that's how my dad felt. At the end, It was about giving it all for the ones you Love.
The tragedy of the story is that I couldn't share this moment with him. I sometimes think that he would have been very happy to see me now, to meet his grand daughter Alejandra, and to realize that his sacrifice was not int vain.
I find myself thinking what would he do in this or that situation....
Finaly i was happy to read a card from my brother Mauro. he said that he was proud and that dad would be very proud of my accomplishments too.
it's good to be acknowledged once in while.

Hoy se cumplen 3 años de la muerte de mi papá. Nunca te olvidamos

"Golpes como el odio de Dios...Como si ante ellos..la rezaca de todo lo sufrido se emposara en el alma...Yo nose."

Nunca pude entender el significado de este poema tan famoso.
Siendo recitado en el colegio año tras año por muchos companeros de clase y yo mismo, su significado paso totalmente desapercibido. Quien iba a pensar que me golpearia en la cabeza hace poco mas de dos anios. Todavia me parece ayer, que lo vi, que escuche su risa y me dijo que saldriamos de todos los problemas que teniamos. Nunca pense que despues de sobrevivir la tormenta solo nosotros emergeriamos del tunel y el quedo atras dando su vida por nosotros.

Decorating is not for everyone. Consuelo and I spent 3 days fixing the babys room with the help of her Dad. It was hard work. But It looks so nice. I think it looks so much better than our own bedroom :)

Consuelo and I spent hours at the baby stores in Miami and finally made our decision about the store we would have our registry on. Baby's Are Us, was the winner, they have the better selection and prices.

It's a Girl

It's a girl. And her name will be Alejandra Ximena. Consuelo and I are so happy. The wait is over and we can finally choose colors, baby clothes and start making the preparations for the baby room. They say it takes a real man to make a girl....

I don't mean to get political, but after watching the documentary it made me wonder about our current president. I knew already that our current head of state had benefit the one percent of the nation with his tax cuts and new laws. And that the real reason to go to Irak was the Oil located in that region, everyone knows that country is the second the largest oil producer in the world. But all those other facts; like the missing military files, His friends at Enron, and the fact that Bush had ties with the Bin Landen Family before the attack on the twin towers.

Meet Baby Salmon

This is the first picture of my future baby. We got it like 3 weeks ago. I'm sorry for taking so long to post it. We don't know the sex of the baby yet, but we plan to have another sonogram soon. We'll keep you post it.

We survived Jeanne

After some 48 hours of being indoors and hearing the neverending sound of the wind blowing at my doorstep, My family and I can finally wear our T-shirts. We survived Charlie, Ivan and Jeanne. Only some minor damage to the house but nothing that the insurance can not fix :P

I'm Having a Baby

I don't know the sex yet. But my wife and I are very excited. She says it moves a lot these days. For us men this whole baby thing is very abstract. We love our women but we can't possibly grasp the idea of the baby being inside of the small belly. I love my wife and I'm looking forward to the sonogram, so we can find out the sex of our little treasure.
